Three Previous Pokemon Return in FireRed and LeafGreen
In EX FireRed and LeafGreen, three sorely missed Stage 2 Pokemon have now advanced to Pokemon-EX! What does this mean? A serious improvement in their size, strength, and adeptness gives them ruling power in any game.
First, there is Venusaur EX, who uses Pollen Hazard to Poison, Burn, and Confuse enemies. As well, this Pokemon character can unleash the fiery of Solarbeam, which causes 90 damage to your opposition. But that is not all. Venusaur EX even has the ability to use Energy Trans Poke-Power. Now this is awesome. It allows you to shift around Grass Energy cards to any deficient Pokemon who needs it!
Next, Blastoise EX is back with an all-new Hyper Whirlpool attack that does a whopping 80 damage to opposing Pokemon. But what is more, the ability can simultaneously drain Defending Pokemon of their Energy cards to prevent counterattack! As well, an Energy Rain Poke-Power from Blastoise EX can append basic Water Energy cards several times per turn with only slight damage to your Pokemon. Thus, by combining Blastoise EX with trading cards such as Energy Search or Team Magma/Aqua Conspirator, you can build up Energy fast. The result is a multi-tiered attack that can absolutely crush your opponents.
Finally, Charizard EX comes equipped as one of most omnipotent Pokemon trading cards ever introduced! The Burn Down attack from Charizard EX alone does 200 damage. This packs enough punch to eliminate any Pokemon in one fail swoop. Even better, the ability bypasses all possible defenses from a Defending Pokemon...no matter what! This includes knocking out Pokemon who are usually resistant to attacks by Pokemon-EX, such as Wobbuffet, Ninetales, and the new Dewgong.
However, there is one side effect to using Burn Down; five Energy attached to Charizard EX must be discarded. Though clever Trainers will find a way to attach more than one Energy card to Charizard EX, including Venusaur EX or Blastoise EX. Plus, Burn Down is not the only attack from Charizard EX. Players can also inflict Slash for 50 damage, so it is important to use Burn Down wisely.
